This gallery features photos for the Berkeley Public Library and the Berkeley Public Library Foundation. We began working with the Library in 1998, and have since developed a deep appreciation for library spaces and the communities that support and inhabit them. Both children and adults in the library tend to be relaxed about being photographed. Perhaps it's because people come to the library looking for new insights and experience, or because libraries feel so inherently safe, but this sense of ease really comes across.
